Discover the best of Kyrgyzstan in 5 days: stunning mountains, alpine gorges, red canyons and the Issyk-Kul Lake. This tour combines nature, culture and authentic nomadic experience with a night in a traditional yurt.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bishkek – Ala Archa – Alamedin Gorge

After breakfast, enjoy a short city tour of Bishkek. Then transfer to Ala Archa National Park (40 km, ~50 min), known for its breathtaking alpine scenery, rivers and hiking trails. Free time for walking or hiking along the gorge. Later, continue to Alamedin Gorge, where you can relax in nature and optionally visit hot springs.

Overnight in Alamedin Gorge (mountain guesthouse).

Day 2: Bishkek – Issyk-Ata – Burana – Issyk-Kul (South Shore, Ton)

After breakfast, drive to Issyk-Ata Gorge, then visit the historical Burana Tower and museum. Continue to Issyk-Kul Lake (250 km), the second largest alpine lake in the world.

On the way: Boom Gorge and Chu River views. Lunch with traditional Kyrgyz cuisine.

Overnight in a yurt or guesthouse near the lake.

Day 3: Bokonbaevo – Skazka Canyon – Barskoon – Jeti-Oguz – Karakol

After breakfast, visit the famous Fairytale (Skazka) Canyon. Continue to Barskoon Gorge with beautiful waterfalls. Then explore Jeti-Oguz rocks (“Seven Bulls” and “Broken Heart”). Short hike in Kok-Jayik valley (about 2 hours).

Overnight in Karakol (guesthouse/hotel/yurts)

Day 4: Karakol – North Shore – Grigorievka – Semenovka – Cholpon-Ata

After breakfast, visit Karakol Gorge for a scenic walk and fresh mountain air. Drive along the северный берег Issyk-Kul Lake. Visit Grigorievka and Semenovka gorges, known for forests, rivers and alpine landscapes. Optional stop at a local fish restaurant. Visit Kyrchyn Valley and hike to the Black Lake (~2 hours). Hot springs in the evening.

Overnight in Cholpon-Ata.

Day 5: Cholpon-Ata – Petroglyphs – Kok-Moynok Canyon – Bishkek

Morning walk by the lake. Visit the open-air petroglyphs museum. On the way back: Kok-Moynok Canyon. Lunch with traditional dish kattama. Stop at recreation area (Hawaii) where you can also see small zoo with local animals and birds. Arrival in Bishkek in the evening.

Overnight in Bishkek (optional / upon request).
